Coppiced woodland is a very important habitat for many native species. It is also an excellent source of sustainable energy, as the trees are able to regrow after coppicing. Each parcel of woodland is at a different stage, so different conditions exist within the overall wood.
With chalk grassland as the predominant soil type, the fields are well draining and diverse in wildflowers but without excessive carbohydrate levels. Ideal for horses in need of low sugar forage, our ponies love it. Analysis of the hay from previous harvests is available.
At Christmas time we offer jams, honey and juices made from our fruit/hives from the orchard on the farm. The gift bags are reusable eco jute. We also do a two window cardboard option.
We are excited to present wool from our small but mighty flock of friendly Romney Marsh sheep. The fleeces were processed by the Natural Fibre Company (sister company of Blacker Wool) and are worsted spun to their standard DK. Please contact us for more details!
